Orange Effervescent Electrolyte Tablets

Helps replace water and electrolytes lost due to vomiting and diarrhoea. May also be taken to help manage dehydration caused by heavy sweating, vigorous exercise, excess alcohol consumption or due to a hot or dry environment.

Signs of mild dehydration include sticky or dry mouth, increased thirst, lethargy, decreased urine output, dark yellow urine.

Be aware that dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhoea can be dangerous in babies and children under 5 years old, and in elderly people.

Gluten free.

Potassium Chloride 149mg
Sodium Bicarbonate 378mg
Citric Acid Anhydrous 672mg
Glucose Anhydrous 1.62g

WARNING
Contains 0.78mg/mL potassium. If you have kidney disease or are taking heart or blood pressure medicines, consult your pharmacist before use.

Contains 1.38mg/mL sodium. Quantity of sodium per maximum adult daily dose is 5520mg.

Directions For Use

Recommended dosage for dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea

Age:
< 12 months: Take 2 to 4 tablets in first 6 hours. Maximum 10 tablets per day
1 to 3 years: Take 4 - 6 tablets in the first 6 hours. Maximum 14 tablets per day
3 to 6 years: Take 6 - 8 tablets in the first 6 hours. Maximum 20 tablets per day
6 to 12 years: Take 8 - 14 tablets in the first 6 hours. Maximum 26 tablets per day
12 years to Adult: Take 12 - 20 tablets in the first 6 hours. Maximum 40 tablets per day

USE ONLY AS DIRECTED
Dehydration due to other causes – refer to carton. Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than:
• 6 hours in infants under 6 months
• 12 hours in children under 3 years
• 24 hours in children aged 3 – 6 years
• 48 hours for adults and children aged over 6 years

If condition worsens, diarrhoea persists or the child has decreased urinary output, seek medical advice.
